Does LYRA write the music for me?

LYRA offers possibilities based on your melody, harmony and expression settings. Listen to a suggestion before you accept it. Your composition only changes when you choose or edit something.

Does it need an internet connection?

The composition engine runs locally and uses musical rules to generate suggestions. Your melodies do not need to be sent to a cloud service.

How does it fit into my DAW?

Windows standalone and VST3 development builds are available locally. LYRA includes host transport following, separate melody and chord MIDI channels, MIDI export and drag to DAW. Real-world host compatibility testing is still in progress; support for every DAW is not yet confirmed.

Can I change the suggested chords?

Yes. Edit each chord’s root, major/minor/diminished quality, inversion, timing and velocity. Suggestions are a starting point. You can also keep your melody locked while exploring other progressions.

Where can I download LYRA?

LYRA 0.5.1 is a development build. A public download, release date and price have not been announced. You can play the browser demo, or listen to the real example above and download its MIDI file.
